Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane, made landfall on the Texas Gulf Coast on Friday August 25, 2017.

The storm brought over 2 feet of torrential rain to the city of Houston and surrounding areas, making it the worst flooding disaster in U.S. history.

While the water has receded and rebuilding is underway, there are still countless individuals experiencing food and housing insecurities as a direct result of Harvey.

The “TexasDUB Strong” compilation carries the works of eleven Texas-based producers.

This multi-genre collaboration was originally created to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Houston musical collective TexasDub, who is celebrating their milestone with a reunion event Dec. 23.

However, it became apparent that the album would be an ideal way to contribute to relief efforts.

The album is a Free Download/Name Your Own Price via Bandcamp with added tracks on soundcloud and will be available through all major streaming services and digital music retailers after in 2018.

Proceeds raised from sales will be donated to non-profit causes assisting with Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts.

Founded in 2007, by Badbwoy BMC, with original members Intager, Fragile and Dread Foxx, TexasDub played a pivotal role in bringing the sound of Dubstep to the South.

Later it would become synonymous with building a Texas style known as, “TrillStep” which featured prominent Houston rappers over dubstep and bass-centered beats.
